Source Analysis
The first Source is:
https://www.the-race.com/
The Race is a Media Company that captures all motorsports. This includes Nascar, british gt, formula 1,2,3 and 4 etc.
The race have both a YouTube channel and also a website. There information can be biased based on the reporter. Overall they are mostly unbiased but some of the subjects talked about can lead to giving out a biased point and contradicting themselves. For example when talking about the current driver line up this year, they did a video on Logan Sargent. They said negatives about the young driver and then they also complemented him. Giving two different view points and leaving the conclusion a very unbiased outcome.
This is the front page today of the website. It is a very formal site layout and displays current and correct sports news. Certain authors can be slightly more biased than others when complementing a drivers performance. A big example is when you look at how two different authors write about the same driver. To make sure they can give a argument and not have another writer argue it, it tends to be that each person has a set subject to deal and report on. When looking further into the website, it is mainly one or two authors per team/ situation. Like with the current change in regulations, a author called Edd Straw has been dealing with all the Mclaren rear wing changes recently to avoid contradiction.
F1i.com
This is a formula One dedicated news page.
There is no clear start date on the website but the earliest date of a article I can find is one at the beginning of 2016.
F1i.com covers all the weekly news and is very indebt with the technical side of formula one.
With this source I found it while looking for research about Williams formula one team on google. I mainly use either therace.com or the official formula one website so I was a bit sceptical on using this site due to it may be biased. After checking several pages and the authors on this site, I have determined that this site is unbiased and is a sustainable source to gather information from for my epq project
Formula1.com
This is formula ones official website, this source is very reliable and is not biased. The formula one website is a very authoritative source, supplying true information and is the first source to jump on with the news for new drivers, teams etc.
There is a range of writers and website managers/admins on the formula one website. One of the reoccurring names and also a well known personality in the sport is Lawrence Barretto. Barretto is also a official formula one and sky sport commentator on formula one.
This source is as reliable as possible since it is the official source and very minimal mistakes since there are several admins which check each article.
WilliamsF1.com
This source is Williams Formula One's teams official website, so this source is very reliable. I have used this website a lot to check information from different sources. The main page on their website I have used is The Origins page, this giving a very in depth page on the history of the formula one team. This source has given me key information on the history of the team and also correct names from the partners and engineers of the team that worked along side Sir Frank Williams.
